Department of Pathology
The Lehigh Valley Health Network Department of Pathology offers a full spectrum of anatomical and clinical pathology services. These services include: tissue pathology, with subspecialty consultants on staff for tissue diagnosis using a wide variety of histochemical and immunohistochemical services, as well as a cytopathology service directed by two pathologists board certified in cytopathology. The Division of Forensic sciences includes forensic toxicology as well as forensic post mortem consultation. The clinical laboratory offers a full range of basic as well as referral laboratory testing. Specialty and subspecialty clinical laboratory staff is available to consult on interpretation of problem testing and problem diagnostic and therapeutic circumstances. The department continues to institute and apply scientific advances in tissue and laboratory diagnosis with consultant surveillance of accuracy, precision and clinical utility.
